The Daily Journal reported on our latest success in court on behalf of our client, the Santa Ana Short Term Rental Alliance (SASTRA).
The plaintiff is represented by Frank P. Angel of Angel Law in Santa Monica. Angel specializes in environmental, natural resources and land use litigation. Angel said the court rightfully severed SASTRA’s CEQA causes of action for an early hearing on their merits.
“The Court’s order granting our motion to sever, adheres to legislative policy that litigation claiming noncompliance with CEQA be resolved promptly,” Angel said Tuesday. “At the same time, if SASTRA prevails at the Feb. 27 CEQA hearing and the CEQA writ issues, the writ will moot SASTRA’s remaining causes of action and also prevent piecemeal litigation challenging administrative citations, which serves the interests of judicial economy.”
